DANBURY, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Ragged Mountain, already named New England’s “Best Overall Value” resort by New England Ski Journal, has announced an initiative to freeze or reduce prices on a plethora of offerings for the 2024-25 winter season. The resort says it will be holding or reducing lift ticket rates and providing deeper discounts for ticket products purchased online in advance. Ragged will also be lowering the price of the resort’s popular Mission Affordable 4-Pack for the 2024-25 winter season.
In addition to freezing or lowering lift ticket prices, Ragged Mountain is expanding its affordability measures to include offering season passes for full-time College and University students with 12+ credit hours for $299, a $100 decrease from last year. Active-duty and retired military, including National Guard, and registered dependent season passes will be just $299 for the second year in a row. The resort also announced the new pricing measures would extend to the mountain’s eateries with value-driven menu options and attractively priced lunch specials.
General Manager Erik Barnes explained Ragged Mountain’s ongoing commitment to affordability stating, “This measure comes as a response to the ongoing inflationary pressures in the U.S. economy which have impacted both our guests and the resort. Ragged Mountain is committed to freezing and reducing prices wherever possible to alleviate the economic strain on our customers. This approach aligns with the resort’s mission to provide fun and accessible mountain experiences for our guests.”
Free ski and snowboard lessons are also part of the resort’s mission of affordability. Opening day for the 2024-25 winter season is slated for November 29 with free lessons available for guests Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This will kick off the eighth season of the acclaimed Bebe Wood Free Learn to Ski or Ride Program which has welcomed thousands of newcomers to the sport. The free lessons, which include free rentals and a free lift ticket to beginners, will now be offered on weekends this winter providing guests the opportunity to take advantage of the program seven days a week.
“Ragged Mountain’s pricing initiative for the 2024-25 season reflects a strategic effort to support our guests,” stated Barnes. “We understand the challenging economic times and will continue to offer a great experience where our guests come to get away from the daily grind and relax. Our vision at Ragged Mountain is to be the go-to place for families to gather with a great community vibe at a price point that won’t break the bank.”
