Knock, Knock... It's Winter Calling!

The smell of autumn is fading, replaced by the crisp sting of cold morning air. Frost has overtaken the garden, and you may find yourself needing to start the car a few minutes earlier each morning. Shadows are growing longer, and the sun casts a warm glow across the landscape, reminding us that we have only a few more great days left to ride a bike, hike a local trail, or hit the links.

But as fall winds down, excitement for the upcoming ski season is building! Around the mountain, we’re seeing all the signs that another winter at Ragged is quickly approaching.

You may recall in a post from this past spring we teased several projects which we would be focusing on over the off-season. The list included the start of renovations in Elmwood Lodge, expanded snowmaking capabilities, and key lift maintenance projects on the Six Pack and the Barnyard Triple, including a new haul rope for the Six Pack and completion of the drive installation and load testing on the Barnyard Triple.

The good news? Most of these projects are now complete or nearing completion, making this one of the most productive off-seasons Ragged has had in years!

With all that hard work behind us, our attention has officially shifted to the 2026/27 winter season. Just yesterday, we fired up the automated fan guns on Village Green. There’s nothing quite like hearing the steady hum of pressurized air and water and seeing frozen snow crystals shoot into the air as we take another step toward winter.

We’ve also officially launched our Quad Packs for the season, and this year, we’re bringing you a brand-new way to save with the Midweek Quad Pack!

Here’s the deal:

Midweek Quad Pack — $199
Four fully transferable lift tickets valid Monday through Thursday. That’s less than $50 per ticket! It’s a killer deal for you, your family, and your friends to take advantage of those midweek snowstorms and find a little adventure of your own.

Any-Day Quad Pack — $299
Our fan-favorite package is back! Get four fully transferable, unrestricted lift tickets for just $299, or less than $75 per ticket. No need to plan around a specific day of the week. Just grab your crew and get ready to make some turns!

We may be under new ownership, but one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to keeping skiing and snowboarding affordable. In fact, we have some exciting plans for the season that will bring even more affordable options to the table, both in the lodge and across the mountain. Good things are in the works!

For now, there’s no better time to lock in your Quad Packs and start planning your winter adventures. We’re counting down the days until we can welcome you back to the mountain.

Weather permitting, we plan to see you bright and early for first chair on Friday, December 4!

THINK SNOW!!!
