About the Program

Ragged Mountain Ski Team (RMST) is a United Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) affiliated ski team, based out of Ragged Mountain Resort in Danbury, New Hampshire. Ragged Mountain Ski Team is a weekend based Alpine ski program that strives to provide the best opportunity for young athletes of all ages, backgrounds and commitment levels, the chance to enjoy and achieve excellence in alpine skiing and racing. RMST does this by providing a professional staff with regular training on appropriate, quality terrain, in a fun, healthy, family-friendly, environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship and confidence. We coach our athletes to become great skiers first, with a broad fundamental skill base while fostering a love for their sport.

Training Information

Race training will begin in early December when the mountain opens and will continue until March 24, 2019. This is the primary RMST program open to U10 through U21 age skiers. It consists of coached training on both Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and additional training during Christmas vacation week and holiday periods. Coaching is provided for early season fundamentals, and coaching / training is geared toward preparing the RMST racers for the NH divisional and open races, up to the NH state championships for the 18-19 ski season. Regional, National, or International Championship level events may incur additional coaching fees to cover coaches travel expenses. Race entry fees are the responsibility of the athlete/parent. USSA and NHARA membership is required. This is the only program available for racers wishing to participate in USSA races. Groups will be formed by USSA age categories. Participation may be limited due to coaching constraints, but every effort possible will be made to accommodate all interested athletes. Skiers in this group must have strong-advanced skiing skills, independence, and the ability to ride lifts unattended. It is recommended that younger athletes (U10-U14) complete 1 year of development training before joining the race team. If you are interested in the Ragged Mountain Ski Team or have any additional questions, please email race@raggedmountainresort.com.

The Program Director reserves the right to refund the program fee or make other suitable arrangements, if a skier is unable to fit within the offered program.

Registration does NOT include compulsory RMR Season Pass, athlete equipment, helmet, race entry fees, or NHARA/USSA dues. Mandatory 3 volunteer days per athlete is required.
