Our Extensive Glade Network Is Opening Up!

After a much-anticipated snowfall yesterday, we’re thrilled to report that we have received 13 inches of fresh, fluffy “white gold” in the past 6 days— exactly what our trails needed! Thanks to this recent powder, we’ve been able to open up some of our gladed and ungroomed trails, including Exhibition Glades, Moose Alley, Devil’s Den, Gobblers Knob, Pel’s Pass Ridge Runner, Tree Hugger and Not Too Shabby.

The additional snow has also made the job a bit easier for our grooming team, allowing us to open up Upper and Lower Crewcut, as well as Birches wall to wall!

It’s the perfect time to hit the slopes and enjoy the fresh conditions. See you out there!

Ragged Turns 60: A Milestone Celebration

In the excitement of fresh snow, we almost forgot to mention something HUGE — Ragged Mountain is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year! First opening in January 1965 with a T-Bar lift and a Hall Double Chair, Ragged had humble beginnings. The first winter was a challenge, with minimal snow and some less-than-ideal conditions. One skier even famously described it as “Ragged,” with water pipes sticking out and non-functional plumbing.

But look at us now! From expanding terrain and adding Spear Peak to becoming the first mountain in New England with a high-speed 6-pack chairlift, Ragged has certainly seen its share of ups and downs. However, the future has never looked brighter.

Sixty years of skiing, snowboarding, and unforgettable memories is a major milestone — especially for an independent mountain like ours. We’re inviting you to help us celebrate in the best way possible: with an epic birthday bash all weekend long, March 21-23! Mark your calendars now — you won’t want to miss this unforgettable celebration!
