Ragged Mountain Development Training Program

About the Program

Ragged Mountain Ski Team is happy to offer two, 12 week long programs, for prospective race athletes wanting to “try it out” before making a full commitment to the race program. Our Lil’ Rippers Program is geared toward our 6 and 7 year old athletes, while the Race Development Program is for 8-12 year old athletes. Both programs begin in early January and end in mid to late March. Training is on SATURDAYS ONLY from 9 am-2 pm. The primary focus of these programs is on the FUN-damentals of skiing on all appropriate terrain with an exposure to alpine ski racing. These programs do not travel or participate in the USSA/NHARA races. The Development Program may have limited opportunities to travel to a local “Fun Race” at times. Skiers in these groups must have strong intermediate skiing skills and the ability to ride lifts unattended. Groups will be formed based on ability and age. If you are interested in the Ragged Mountain Ski Team or have any additional questions, please email race@raggedmountainresort.com. Registration does NOT include lift access, athlete equipment, helmet, race entry fees, or NHARA/USSA dues.

The Program Director reserves the right to refund the program fee or make other suitable arrangements if a skier is unable to fit within the offered program.

Participation in the team Volunteer Program is mandatory.
