Eight is Great!

With 8" of fresh snow blanketing the mountain after this last storm, there are lots of happy skiers and riders on the mountain. The snowmaking team is taking advantage of cold temps to contribute to these great conditions. Enjoy the snow! And let's hope Mother Nature and Old Man Winter continue to deliver such wonderful conditions.

2021-22 Winter Season Is Underway!

Winter season 2021-22 set to start with top to bottom skiing and 30 acres of terrain

DANBURY, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Ragged Mountain Resort opens for the 2021-22 winter season Friday, December 3 from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Operations continue Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am – 4:00pm and return to regular operating hours seven days per week on Monday, December 6. Top to bottom skiing will be available for all ability levels serviced by New Hampshire’s only high-speed detachable six-person chairlift and the Meadows beginner learning area. The resort plans to have 7 trails and 30 acres of skiable terrain on a base depth of 24-36” with additional terrain available as snowmaking progresses.

Erik Barnes, Ragged Mountain’s General Manager, commented on the outstanding early season conditions saying, “Our snowmaking and grooming crews have done an exceptional job in preparing the mountain. The early season mild weather was challenging, but when Mother Nature cooperated with cold temperatures and natural snowfall, we were more than ready to make snow at every possible opportunity.”

In an effort to manage the ongoing Covid-19 risk for the 2021-22 winter season, Ragged Mountain encourages all guests to follow guidelines set forth by the State of New Hampshire and local health authorities. These guidelines encourage wearing a face mask where adequate social distancing is impractical or if unvaccinated. Lifts will operate at full capacity and masks are not required while riding or waiting in lines. Guests should purchase lift tickets online in advance and utilize contactless pick-up boxes and the resort’s mobile app for food & beverage orders whenever possible. And yes, you can once again boot up in the lodges!

Early season lift ticket rates will be in effect at $65 for adults and teens, and $49 for juniors and seniors. Elmwood and Meetinghouse Lodges will be open to the public and The Learning Center will be offering private lessons only at this time. For the most up-to-date conditions, lift operations, and trail openings visit Ragged Mountain’s Snow Report. All operations are subject to weather.
